How many years ago did I plan to post about this? Four. We bought our house on Treebrooke Drive in July of 2016 and began renovations immediately.
We’re back! We decided to take it a little bit easier this trip since we have two kids now and don’t want to come home more tired than when we left.

May 14, 2018 8 days 7 National Parks 57 miles walked 2,500 miles driven After taking a break day yesterday for Mother’s Day and skyping little Blake, we went to our seventh and last park today: Channel Islands National Park.
May 12, 2018 Death Valley is known for being hot, but the Lord gave us a break today by making the high only 92 degrees!
May 11, 2018 Today we groggily got up at 5:00am to drive to Bryce Canyon National Park! On day 5, the struggle is getting real with these early mornings and long days, but it’s always worth it.
May 10, 2018 When we left the Grand Canyon, we caught a nice sunrise! Horseshoe Bend National Monument was on our way to Zion National Park, so we stopped there.
May 9, 2018 The sun started shining at around 4:30 this morning. People started leaving the campsite around 4:00. More sleep was hopeless, so up we got and headed for Petrified Forest National Park!
May 8, 2018 This morning we got up, lifted our next couple days’ worth of breakfast from the hotel, and got on our way to the Grand Canyon!
Monday, May 7, 2018 Hey there friends and family, Day one of our trip is complete! This morning we left sweet Blake with my (Michelle’s) parents in Columbus and flew from Atlanta to Los Angeles to begin our trip.
