Hi there!
The last few days of our trip have been a welcome change of pace from the first 10 days. We’ve been able to slow things down and just relax and enjoy time hanging out together!
After Joshua Tree on Monday, we piddled around on Tuesday in a couple of different cities pretty close to LA. We cleaned out the car, took it through a car wash (which Michelle loved), relaxed and watched a couple of movies, and Michelle gave me a haircut. She did a pretty good job with a little coaching here and there!
Wednesday was Michelle’s birthday and our day at Six Flags!
It was awesome! There were no lines and we didn’t have to wait longer than 5 minutes to get on a ride. We ended up riding some of our favorites several times in a row! Michelle did get me to go on the Superman ride (the one that I said I wouldn’t go on). I was a nervous wreck getting on to that thing. I love roller coasters, but I hate the feeling of hanging straight up in the air. I’m glad she made me do it, because it ended up being my favorite ride! We only stayed at Six Flags for about 3 hours because we go to ride so many rides in such a short period of time, and we were hot and exhausted. Our poor old bodies can’t take a full day of rides in the heat anymore.
After Six Flags, we drove the last leg of our trip back to San Diego. The hotel that we’re staying in is right on the beach!
After the first day, we got upgraded to a corner suite because they were going to need our room for members of a wedding party. It has an awesome view.
Today is our last day and we are about to head out to the beach. This trip has been wonderful, and something that we’ll never forget. Hopefully it is the first of many adventures!
Here we come Greenville!
Love,
Taylor and Michelle
