Treebrooke House Renovation: Before & After

How many years ago did I plan to post about this? Four. We bought our house on Treebrooke Drive in July of 2016 and began renovations immediately. We thought it would take a few months. Little did we know we’d still be making improvements for years after that!

We’ve decided to move across town this summer and do it all again (albeit, at a much slower pace and contracting out most of the work this time). Therefore, we’ve finally had photos taken of our house and can thoroughly compare it to how it looked pre-renovation!

Here’s an incomplete list of all the changes we made to this house:

  • Painted all walls and trim
  • Painted kitchen cabinets
  • Replaced kitchen countertops
  • Installed hardwoods all over house except upstairs bedrooms
  • Replaced carpet in upstairs bedrooms
  • Changed all hardware from gold to brushed nickel
  • Removed wide column from in-between the living and dining rooms
  • Re-wallpapered kitchen and dining room
  • Whitewashed fireplace
  • Replaced fireplace doors
  • Replaced ceiling lights & fans
  • Installed recessed lighting in kitchen
  • Renovated attic room into a fourth bedroom
  • Replaced AC unit
  • Replaced gas fireplace logs
  • Removed trees and bushes, redesigned flower beds
  • Replaced screen on porch
  • Sprayed all tubs and showers white
  • Added 400 sq ft deck
  • Tiled bathrooms and laundry floor
  • Tiled backsplash

A lot of work went into this house, and we are proud. We’re here to share some before and after photos, and get ready for our next house project!
